Yung Miami’s Childhood
Yung Miami was born Caresha Romeka Brownlee on February 11th, 1994, in Opa-Locka, Miami-Dade county. Her mother, Keenya Young, raised her and was close to Miami rappers, including Trick Daddy and Trina. Trina is her godmother.
Keenya Young was serving time, in prison. With the title “Welcome back,” Yung Miami posted a video on Instagram on March 27, 2021, to mark her mother’s release from jail.
Yung Miami schooled in Carol City Middle School in Miami, but she did not complete her studies.
Her Music Career
Yung Miami met JT through a mutual friend when they attended Carol City Middle School. The two became close friends, and they used to attend teen clubs together. Banking on their love for rap music, they decided to form a rap duo, City Girls.
Their debut studio track was ‘Fuck Dat Nigga,’ which came out in mid-2017, and they promoted it on social media. The duo has three studio albums; Period, Girl Code, and City on Lock. City Girls are part of a label with many other famous stars, such as Migos and Lil Yachty
Her Relationships
Yung Miami was in a relationship with the late Jai Wiggins. The two dated for some time and had a child together. Yung separated from Jai amidst claims of physical abuse. He died on June 15th after he sustained wounds from a shootout.
She also dated record producer, Southside, and the two have a daughter together. It is not known whether the two are still together, as there were reports of their split some time back.
