Early Life and Education
George Murdoch is also known as Tyrus. His other name is Brodus Clay, which he used during his time at WWE.
He was born to a white mother and a black father, hence he is biracial.
He was born to young parents, as Murdoch’s father was 19 years old and his mother was 15 years at the time he was born.
Due to disagreements, his parents separated when Murdoch and his brothers were very young. His mother went back to her parents’ house with her two sons.
However, the two were discriminated against for having been sired by a black father.
Together with his brother, Tyrus was raised in different foster homes since they were unwelcome at their maternal grandparents’ home.

Murdoch’s career as a wrestler kicked off in 2006. Prior to this, he had signed with WWE. He was stationed at Deep South Wrestling, where his stage name during his debut match was G-Rilla.
He won against Big Bully Douglas in September.
In the month of October 2006, Tyrus enforced a tag team named Urban Assault.
The team wrestled against Brian and Brett, also known as The Major Brothers.
This came after a feud between him and The Bag Lady. The Urban Assault team won the championship.
He continued to wrestle both as a solo wrestler and as part of his group, Urban Assault, until the expiration of his WWE contract in 2008.
However, he made a comeback in 2010 until 2011 and won many matches and championships.
