Lahna Turner entered the comedy business with her debut appearance as a commentator on an episode of “CMT Insider” in 2009.
As she gained confidence and popularity, Lahna began appearing on other shows, including “The Playboy Morning Show,” and as a guest in the “Dog Whisperer with Caesar Milan” on National Geographic.
Following her show, Lahna Turner appeared on “Getting Doug with High,” “Gotham Comedy Live,” and made her acting debut in “Teacher of the Year” in the role of Ursula Featherstone. In the movie, she starred along with Matt Letscher and Keegan-Michael Key.

The marriage between Lahna Turner and Ralphie May
The two comedians met at an open mic standup event in Houston and pretty soon began their relationship. Lahna and Ralphie got married on July 3rd, 2005.
In 2007, they had a daughter named April June May. In 2009, the two welcomed a son named August James May.
Together, Lahna and Ralphie worked on several projects, including “The Perfect 10” podcast which they co-hosted together.
But, what looked like the perfect relationship started crumbling. After almost 10 years of marriage, Ralphie May filed for divorce in 2015. Lahna Turner requested full custody of their two children.
The couple quoted “irreconcilable differences” as the cause for their divorce. A little later, Turner claimed that Ralphie May had been physically abusive to her.
She also claimed that she had struggled trying to get him in a healthier shape by losing the extra weight which had been plaguing his health and wellbeing through the years, but he had refused.
Even though there was a lot of back and forth between the estranged couple, the divorce was never finalized because on October 6th, 2017, Ralphie May died from hypertensive cardiovascular disease in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was only 45 years old.
Ralphie May had been suffering from pneumonia in the last six weeks of his life, although he continued performing. Just two days before his passing, the comedian had won Casino Comedian of the Year at the Global Gaming Expo and had been booked for performances in Las Vegas for the rest of 2017.
The cause of death was cardiac arrest. The coroner also claimed that the comedian’s obesity was a contributing factor to his untimely death.
His death was confirmed on his Twitter profile by his representatives. May had been found dead in his residence in Las Vegas.
Following his death, Turner tweeted, “I loved Ralphie with all my heart. We shared a wonderful life and made beautiful children together. No one has ever made me laugh or cry harder. You will always be with us. Rest in peace, my sweet.”
