Zendaya was born by the name Zendaya Maree Coleman on September 1, 1996, in Oakland, California. She is the last born in a family of eight: three sisters, two brothers, and her parents, Kazembe Ajamu Coleman and Claire Stoermer.
She studied at Fruitvale Elementary school, where her mother was a teacher.
